Thanks doctor.
What is the weight of the baby now: Weight = 4.6 kg
Any symptoms related to the hernia or abdomen? : There was swelling in urine portion and gets hard which was painful for baby and crying makes things worse. The urine portion had come out which doctor pushed back.
Why was surgery been told to you to be urgent? What is the reason given?: Doctor has informed that as she is young and is mostly on her back, recovery will be faster.
Any other problems with the baby? : No other problem.

Hi,
Please give me details about > There was swelling in urine portion and gets hard which was painful for baby and crying makes things worse.
The urine portion had come out which doctor pushed back.
You may also post photos of such swelling which causes pain and tenderness?
Symptomatic hernia needs to be operated.
As the patient is a girl there may not be anything important in the hernia sac even on crying.
But if there is pain and tenderness on pressure it may be the reason for hernia operation as soon as possible.
But as a precaution always take an opinion and fitness of the Pediatrician and the Anesthetist before going for surgery.
Surgery in a girl child is straight forward as usually there is no important structure in hernia sac and helping occurs fast in pediatric age group.
Please give me feedback.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
