Question: Hi
I am 27 years old, married for almost 3 years. I have PCOS from almost 10 years. My ovaries are voluminous.
4,6 * 2.2 (right ) and 4.1 * 2.5 (left) .We are trying for pregnancy from last 8 months, but no luck. I am undergoing infertility treatment from last 4 months. I had a laparoscopy and ovarian drilling done last month, after which doc identified that one of my tubes is partially blocked and there were many adhesion. I am diagnosed with genital tuberculosis. I am taking medicines for the same. Now, doc suggests to undergo hybrotubation process for at least 3 months. I am reluctant to undergo any such procedure. Please suggest . Can some medicines help in improving condition of my Fallopian tubes. I am very worried. What are the chances of pregnancy.

Brief Answer:
IVF is better option

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

I saw your reports.

Adhesions, tubal block and tuberculosis is a bad combination to conceive naturally.

It is difficult to correct tubes to return to normal.

I suggest you complete course of tuberculosis first. Then you go ahead with IVF soon as natural pregnancy is difficult in such situation.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Tubes are not completely blocked. Right one is proper and left one is partially blocked. I am taking tuberculosis treatment right now. It will last for nine months.
My question is: going for procedures like Hybrotubation, which is quite a painful process, is required in such a situation? Can tubes be worked out through some meds or not?

Brief Answer:
Difficult to repair tubes

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

It is difficult to repair fallopian tubes by medicines or any other techniques.

Even hydrotubation is difficult. Restenosis and block is seen as fallopian tubes damaged due to tuberculosis have been scarred and lead to blocks. Even fallopian tube that is open may not be healthy.

I suggested IVF for the same reason. Even if you wish try for only 3 months after hydrotubation. If no success, go for IVF without wasting further time.
