Is Hysterectomy Advisable When Having Symptoms Of Diverticulitis?
Question: I've had female issues always . Considering hysterectomy but have been speaking with friends family and I'm not sure if I may b having symptoms of diverticulitis also. Always high white blood count at obgyn always put on flagyl, only one pap ever good, pelvic pain and inflamtion and at times very sharp stabbing pain with no knowledge it's coming shooting up rectum . Drop to ur knees and take breath away. Also had colposcopy and endometriosis surgery 10 yrs ago. Female cousins few yrs older than me in remission from colon cancer. What is ur advice. Also very irregularly menstral cycle and my right hip front and back lower continuos dull pain worsens at nite wakes me up every nite. Wow-- nvm I'm not Payn thought there were still people that jus cared to inform others if able to help. Don't worry

If only 1 pap is good, i will advise you to get hysterectomy as your symptoms will not go .
But i will advise you to get a thorough checkup to rule out diverticulosis and colon cancer.
You need a stool occult blood and a colonoscopy , a barium enema x ray and CT of your colon to rule out diverticulosis and colon cancer.
After they come normal, you can proceed with the hysterectomy.
