Is Incision Done During A Second C-section Surgery At The Same Place As The First?
Question: Hello Doctor,
My wife just underwent a C Section delivery. This is a second delivery through C Section. The first one was also a C section 6.5 years back. I was just seeing my wife's tummy and could see that the second cut was not on the same position as the first one. Typically the two cuts are on the same location or on the different location.

The second cut is usually given on the same site unless either the previous one has extensive keloid formation or the site was too low or too high.
You can click a picture and send me so that I can tell you the reason if apparent.
But anyways it doesn't matter and had no future implications except cosmetic appearance.

I have seen the attached images.
There is no problem in planning for another baby due to different positions of skin cuts as these cuts don't matter because main decision making thing is cut on uterus which is usually at same position and even if at different position can be assessed easily via ultrasound during pregnancy (if at all you plan for another one).
The problems in 3 rd cesarean are mandatory cesarean delivery and no scope of normal delivery and difficult cesarean section due to adhesions inside the tummy.
So in case you plan for next child also then visit a good gynecologist and go for regular antenatal visits whole of the pregnancy.
