Brief Answer:
Don't worry,It is a very safe antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I can understand your concern. Azithromycin is a very safe antibiotic and there is a wide range of it's dosage.
The dose of azithromycin is variable according to the condition and can be given from 10 mg/kg/dose to 20 mg/kg/dose.The toxic dose of azithromycin is even higher.
The usual dose is 10 mg/kg/dose(2.5 ml) and if you have given double the amount(5 ml) it won't cause any harm.
So don't worry. No intervention is needed. You can give probiotic to maintain the gut flora affected by azithromycin.
It can cause nausea, vomiting or loose stool that can be managed well with fluids and probiotics.
I hope this helps.
Please let me know if you have any more query.
Regards
