Is It A Melanoma On Abdomen?

Question: hello doctor , there is something I am worried about on my abdomen and i am afraid it may be a melanomie , can I send a picture to confirm if it is or not?

Hi and thanks for the query,

This lesion presented in highly inflammatory and DOES not look like the classical image of a melanoma. In case, it has been there for a very long time or you have a family history of melanoma, you could suspect. from its presentation, it really does not look like one. It is a very very rare possibility, with the cases that I have seen and what is reported in the literature that this should be a melanoma. The chances are slim.

However, i would suggest you consult a dermatologist.
