Brief Answer:
Clarithromycin belongs to a different class of antibiotics

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Clarithromycin belongs to a separate class of antibiotics. If known allergy towards penicillin and Cefdinir, then Clarithromycin.

Though Clarithromycin is known to have allergies of its own. We can take only minimum required dose and watch for dry throat, difficulty breathing etc as its symptoms of allergy.

To combat ear infections, we can work towards raising her immunity by regular exercise. Also give her home cooked hygienic food and cleaner drinking water to avoid gastrointestinal infections.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
