Is It Alright To Be Taking Advil Or Tylenol For
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Is it alright to be taking Advil or Tylenol for pain while using 25 mg for blood pressure?
Brief Answer:
Either would be fine, Tylenol may be better
Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using 'Ask a Doctor'. It looks like you are using Cozaar, so in this case (as in general with any other blood pressure medications) using Tylenol or Advil is safe and shouldn't cause any problems. Advil can sometimes cause increased blood pressure, and shouldn't be used if you have any kidney or stomach ulcer issues, so Tylenol may be a little safer, but either one is likely to be alright to use.
I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any other questions about that, and I would be glad to discuss it with you further.
