Is It Good To Start Dialysis In This Situation Or Can I Continue With All These Medicines?
Question: Dear Sir/Madam,
My Father Age-69, has been a High Blood Pressure Patient for the last 20 years and CKD Patient for 7 years. As per the doctor, he is now in the last stage of CKD.
Current Urea 117.7, Creatine 7.27, Sodium 142, Potassium 5.6, Haemoglobin 9.2. He is on a strict diet as per the doctor's advice and taking medicines as per the doctor's advice. The medicines are Stamlo 10, Apresol, Revlamer 400, Nodosis DS, Ferium XT, Atorva 10, Bevon Capsule, Clopitab 75, Pan D, Duphalac, and Wepox 4000 Injection, and sometimes taking K Bind powder in case of an increase in Potassium.
But one good sign is swelling is not yet seen in any part of his body. So I need your suggestion, is it good to start dialysis in this situation or can I continue with all these medicines?

Brief Answer:
Dialysis is mandatory at this stage.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query.
Based on the facts that you have posted about your father having Chronic Kidney disease with serum creatinine raised up to 7 I would advise to go for dialysis. This will help to prevent other problems associated with raised creatinine and will also help to improve his quality of life.
Medications that he is taking are playing supportive role but do not improve kidney function. Dialysis will help to discharge Waste products to get eliminated from body.
Thanks and Regards
