Question: Hello, I have the nexplanon that was supposed to be replaced XXXXXXX 2018. I don’t have insurance and it would cost 1700 through planned parenthood to have it replaced at this point. Is it harmful to keep it in my arm until I have health insurance in January? I understand I would not be protected, just want to know if it is causing harm in the meantime

Hi thanks for posting your query
It is no harm keeping it till January but it'll not give you any protection for the family planning. You can use the alternative methods like barrier or pills for the family control measures
Hope I cleared your doubt
Take care
