Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Mr XXXXXXX

Swimming is one of the best form of exercise for all age groups. You can definitely go ahead with swimming classes under the guidance of capable trainer. Safety of the child should be the priority.

Many of the children of the present generation get engaged in indoor activities like gaming, laptop , TV, indoor games. This is risk factor for developing introvert nature and also indirectly predisposes to childhood/adolescent obesity in long term. It is very important to engage them in outdoor activities too.

Following are some of the suggestions which can be implemented based on your convenience

1. Engage him in outdoor sports: Cycling , running. Make short jogging for him a routine activity early morning or during evening hours.

2. Camping/Picnic outside: Everyone of us wants a change, so do children. Taking them out for camping/picnic exposes them to mother nature and helps build up interest in nature and outdoor activities.

3. Flexibility: It is very important not to be rigid and impose ourself on our children. Observe what the child is interested and help him develop in that activity.
Parenting is a continuous process and every passing day teaches us new things to manage our own kids. Many of children pick up their own activities which amuses them, guiding them streamlining them is all that is required.

4.Develop his interest in Books: Read out stories to him . Show him the maps, geography of the world. Many kids get attracted knowing about ones own country and culture.

Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
