Is It Necessary To Check The Reason For Low Progesterone Level When A Home Pregnancy Test Showed Positive Results?

Question: Dear Doctor, am a 27 year old married female. After trying for 1.5 years to conceive, I finally got a positive result on my hpt. Following that, I gave my blood for testing hcg and cbc. Please comment on the result of the reports I attached. In CBC, my tlc count is 12800 which is getting me worried. Is it normal? I had typhoid two months back. Could I still be having an infection?? And I have pcos as well though I get my periods regularly. I have heard that pcos women will have low progesterone. But my doctor didn't ask to test that. Isn't it necessary to check that?? Please advise.

Brief Answer:
You are pregnant according to hcg values

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Greetings
I have gone through your reports.Your beta hcg was done after how many days of missing periods.?
According to the value you are pregnant.
All pcod patients need not have irregular periods ,low progesterone, and infertility.
Progesterone is supplemented to support pregnancy in all pregnant woman at times.
Regarding your total wbc count ,I don't think you need to worry unless you have some infections.PREVIOUS typhoid will not increase wbc count.
You can test your urine for microscopy and rule out urinary infection. If there is fever you need to discuss with your obstetrician.

Can repeat

Detailed Answer:
Hi
If you have completed 7 weeks get an ultrasound scan to confirm intrauterine pregnancy and you can be convinced about it.
Also find out other sources of infection like urinary or respiratory infections by consulting your obstetrician.
Should not take OTC medicines .
