Is It Necessary To Raise Estrogen Patch Dosage Post Hysterectomy?

Question: my daughter is 3 weeks post hysterectomy and is now in the hospital with a bad infection and they have her on iv antibioics and pain meds and she is not feeling any better, the dr also raised her estrogen patch from 0.25 to .1 and she is feeling worse. I don't understand why he raised the dose.
they say she has pockets of fluid or infection and her white blood count is slightly raised, she is also very agitated and angry.

Brief Answer:
Estrogen deficiency can cause symptoms
Hello Madam,
Thanks for your query
1) Post hysterectomy ( accompanied by removal of ovaries also), estrogen will decrease in body hence doctor advised estrogen patch and even raised the dose.
2) Estrogen deficiency can cause these symptoms like agitation and anger hence doctor has decided to raise dosage.
3) Worsening symptoms are not due to estrogen patch.
4) Free fluid and infection can be treated. Slightly raised WBC is a good sign that indicates she may not have severe infection.
