Brief Answer:
3mm calculi don't require any intervention.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs. Suma,
Thanks for writing to us.
3mm
kidney stones don't require any active intervention at this point of time, however you need to keep a watch for the stone growth, these stones can become big and it may become necessary to remove them later on.
That said, there are good chances of these stones coming out in the urine, so whenever you pass urine, try to feel if the stones are coming out, you might feel a slight burning or momentary blockage while passing urine.
Repeat the
ultrasound scan after a month to see if these stones have gone.
Meanwhile continue to drink plenty of water, at least 3 to 4 liters a day.
And you should avoid milk and milk products, avoid tomatoes, capsicum, and foods rich in calcium and oxalates.
If you get any pain in the side or lower abdomen, please
consult a urologist.
Hope this answer helps you, if you have further questions, please feel free to ask.
Wishing you good health.
Regards
