Is It Normal To Experience Chills And A Temperature Right After A CT Scan With Contrast?

Question: Thank-you!! I had a CT scan with contrast today. The scan took place about 8hrs ago. Over the course of the evening I have been experiencing chills. I checked my temp, and it;s now at 102. I should mention I have ovarian cancer, and had chemo last tuesday. The side effect have not been bad. I've been at the gym, and taking care of my family. I don't think fever has anything to do with chemo.

Brief Answer:
Antihistamine and blood culture test

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since you had a CT scan today the chills you are experiencing is die to the contrast agent that was injected into your vein during the time of CT scan.

But since your temperature is 102 and you took chemotherapy last Tuesday die to ovarian cancer, I would advise you to to a blood culture sensitivity
test and if bacteria is found in blood then sensitive antibiotics need to be given.

For chills you can take antihistamine tablet like Advil with your doctors advise
