Is It Normal To Have Tremors And Weakness Post Treatment For Viral Fever?
Question: I'm just getting over a bout with the flu. Fever, body aches, and sore throat for 3 days and now coughing but not too bad. Dr prescribed a ZPak. After 5 days just starting to feel better but very shaky and weak for 2 days now. Is this normal? Thank you.
Brief Answer:
Common after flu.
Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
You seem to be recovering from Viral Fever / Flu.
It is commonly associated with weakness and that too particularly in recovery phase.
In case you have no fever now you don't require any further antibiotic.
Shaking can be associated with anti Allergic or cough syrups In case you are taking them for cough.
You just need to reduce the dose of cough syrup in case you are taking.
For the purpose of Weakness you should drink plenty of water and may take a multivitamin for a few days.
This would go very soon as you recover completely.
I hope it helps.
If you have any further query, please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
