Brief Answer:
Yes!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

It is possible to do coronary artery bypass graft using minimally invasive procedures. I will advise that you ask your surgeon about this. You would need to be in a highly advanced cardiac center to get this done as it is not being done everywhere. The best way to know would be to ask your doctor if you qualify for this and whether it would be possible to get it done where you intend to get treated.

If you are preparing for surgery, I wish you the very best surgical experience free of any complication and graced with a quick and full recovery.

I hope this addresses your query fully. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Thank you so much for your expert opinion! Honestly, this is highly appreciated! However, I am not a patient seeking medical advice. I am a Healthcare Administration student performing a research analysis. My area of interest has shown an increase need for coronary artery bypass graft procedures. I am specifically interested in interventional cardiology because CMS recently designated this as a cardiac specialty (Jan 2015) and will now receive higher reimbursement. Therefore, with higher reimbursement and significantly better patient outcomes, it is certainly something I wish to learn more about.

If there is ANY additional information you could provide from a physician's perspective, I would greatly appreciate it.

Again, thank you very much!

Brief Answer:
There is so much on this but not sure of what might be of interest to you

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for this follow up precision. If there is just a single thing I would like you to take from our discussion, it is that the number of persons who would be eligible and require cardiac bypass is expected to increase tremendously in the next decades. As the prevalence of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, lack of physical exercise, junk food consumption, etc. increases, so too would the prevalence of persons with this condition.

The next big challenge is how to have enough practitioners to handle this as well as paying for the huge cost.

I wish you well.
