Is It Possible To Get Pregnant Without Intercourse?
Question: Hey !! Is it possible to get pregnant without intercourse?? N my gf is taking Diane 35 from last 2 yrs and she is taking ovagrace also. We didnt had intercourse. Are there any chances of her getting pregnant? And still she isvtaking Diane 35. Or is there anything to check if she is pregnant after 1 week. Any suggestions to stop pregnancy after 1 week

Your girlfriend is on Diane 35 and Ovagrace pills.
Diane 35 contains a combination of two ingredients: cyproterone and ethinyl estradiol. Cyproterone belongs to a group of medications known as antiandrogens. Ethinyl estradiol belongs to a group of medications known as estrogens. Together, they are used to treat certain severe types of acne in women that have not been successfully treated with antibiotics and other treatments.
Ovagrace Plus Tablet is prescribed for the treatment of insulin resistance, anxiolytic, promote female fertility along with several other problems. Ovagrace Plus Tablet contains the salts Myo Inositol as active ingredients. So its common use in Polycystic Ovartian Syndrome (PCOS).
Is she suffering from PCOS? Why is she given these pills? Will you please provide me with some more details of her health? For what condition is she prescribed these medicines?
In fact none of these medicines are reported to delay the menses. Even though Diane 35 contains ethinyl oestradiol, this pill is to be taken for 21 days in a cycle from day 1 of the cycle and after discontinuing it withdrawal bleeding is expected within 7 days.
It is not possible for any woman to become pregnant unless semen (or sperms) are deposited either in vagina or uterus so that the sperms get opportunity to meet the egg. This may be by intercourse or any artificial way.
I gather from the history that you have provided that she has missed her period for 7 days. Well, at this stage if you perform pregnancy test on her overnight morning first urine sample, you can find out whether she is pregnant or not. There is another test which is very sensitive. It is Beta hCG estimation on blood. In non-pregnant state, the values are always under 5 mIU/ml while values more than 25 mIU/ml are diagnostic of pregnancy. Please get either of these tests done and upload the reports for my review.
If she is pregnant, at such early phase, pregnancy can be terminated safely and effectively by medicines. However, after knowing the results of pregnancy test I shall advise about it further.
