What I mean is that if I test after a month, will there be a chance to see an increased value?
Brief Answer:
HIV values depend on time after exposure
Detailed Answer:
Hi again
What was the duration between exposure and testing? Mostly HIV starts increasing after 3-4 months of exposure or even later.
A positive value of HCV can be lowered with treatment. Do you have liver or any other symptoms?

Dr Vaishalee

Thank you doctor
Please tell me whether I need to do testing every month to confirm I am not infected?
Brief Answer: XXXXXXX test for HCV maybe done
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
You may do XXXXXXX test for HCV to confirm whether you have HCV or not. If that is negative then you donot have HCV and nothing needs to bo done about it.
If XXXXXXX test is also positive, then you have HCV.
Repeating the immunology test is not needed, irrespective of status of HCV in your body.

Dr Vaishalee

Dear Doctor,
Thank you for your response.
I have one more question. My wife is pregnant (2 months). Is there any tests I can do to confirm I am not infected with HCV.
Since I don't have any dates as last contact with a potential source of infection, you can consider 24.04.2023 (One day before my last test),as my last contact date.
Please advice.
