Is It Safe For A Person With The Conditions To Take Covid Vaccine ?

Question: Hi Doctor, I'm reaching out to seek your detailed advise on getting my parents vaccinated for Corona.
My Mother :
56 years old lady
Health related concerns/ history -
Hypetension
Suffered Temporary Ischemic Attack( 3-4 times in the last 10-12 Years, last was a few years ago)
Migraine
Vertigo
Bulky uterus with multiple fibroids
Arthritis
Sinusitis
Taking the following tablets daily for the last few years
Telma 20
Atorvastatin 10
Questions :
Is it safe for a person with the above conditions to take covid vaccine ?
What are the precautions to be taken before or after taking the vaccine shots ?
Should she be stop taking her medicine on the day she is taking the vaccine shot ?
Is it ok to take her medicines from the next day after vaccination?
My Father :
65 years old man
Medication taken daily for the last few years: Rozat 10 mg
Have same questions for him, too.
I'd greatly appreciate your detailed advise.
Thank you!
Rakesh

Brief Answer:
Yes, both can take COVID vaccine.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I have gone through your question carefully.
The vaccine is most useful in patients such as your parents. There are reports of the vaccine causing some symptoms and adverse events rarely, but the current data indicates that these vaccines do reduce the chances of getting the disease.
Particularly in patients sufferring from diabetes of heart disease, it is even more useful as they are more likely to suffer from serious illness due to covid and getting the vaccine will reduce that severity even if they do get infected.
So, given the circumstances, I would recommend you to get them vaccinated.
Best wishes.
