Brief Answer:
Looks like viral illness - Can use Alaspan

Detailed Answer:
Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic.

Coming to your query first - you can use Alaspan. If I were you're pediatrician, I would suggest a dose of 2.5ml twice a day for 3 days.

Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics (LIKE CLAMP Suspension) at all.

Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.

Paracetamol can be given in the dose of 15mg/kg/dose (maximum ceiling dose of 500mg) every 4-6th hourly that too only if fever is more than 100F. I suggest not using combination medicines for fever, especially with Paracetamol.

Meftal-P contains Mefenamic acid which is a NSAID. It carries the risk of gastritis and renal problems in the long run. Please do not use Meftal-P.

Suggestions on alternatives for high fever

Detailed Answer:
Hi....happy that you are against Meftal-P.

Even if the fever is high, doesn't matter. If there is high fever what you can do is - cold sponging. Do it with room temperature water. Do not do it with ice cold water.

Is there any family history if febrile seizures or seizures with fever.... If so please get back to me and then I will suggest you what to do.

I wish your kid a speedy recovery. If you need any future medical consultation and suggestions, I will be glad to help. You can approach me at the following link. Please find the link below -

Brief Answer:
You can use Odomos

Detailed Answer:
Hi...You can use Odomos. If she is allergic to Odomos direct application, you can apply the same Odomos to her socks or her skirt. The smell will keep the mosquitoes away.
