Is It Safe To Have Debepezil, Hydrocodone, Tizanidine And Meloxicam Together?
I've had 18 surgeries, four within the last 4 years and now struggle with osteoarthritis. I have used 60 mg. of hydrocodone, tizanidine and meloxicam until six months ago when I switched to 60 mg. oxycodone a day. It has helped but something might be wrong?
I'm sorry for taking so long to ask my question- I'm struggling with severe shoulder pain and can't type rapidly.During my recovery period following my last surgery, I was put in a coma for 6 hours
because I continued to cry and complain of severe pain. Please add this to medical history. I am unable to upload an image of my left shoulder which is very painful because it is pointed and slightly slopes down my arm.
I've had a specialized muscular MRI to determine if I've torn muscles, ligaments or tendons. I'm unable to interpret the results so I'd like to pass that document to you.
I'm unable to upload the document but notice some of my meds are also missing from my med list. I use 2 mg. of alprazolam each evening, several supplements and have used 1-2 mg. of lorazepam for terror attacks. Please note I used 9 1750 mg. amoxicillin, prednisone and azithromycin recently nasal, teeth, headache problems - coud these meds have upset my system?
It will be difficult to comment.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that it will be very difficult to say what is the medicine that is causing the problem because you are taking a lot of medicines and they have a lot of interactions with each other .
But I would agree with you that possibly the course of antibiotics azithromycin , amoxicillin are the culprits . Secondly you mention taking prednisolone which has the ability to cause psychosis . Even short courses can cause this problem specially in aged patients , its a very common finding .
Thirdly please get your electrolyte levels checked . Dyselectrolemia is the most common cause for the same . You should get a sodium and potassium levels checked urgently.
You can discuss with your treating doctor regarding the same.
Take care.

I've had a problem with chronic dehydration and incontinence the last several years. I donated my left kidney in 1999 to a cousin who sadly died despite the kidney donation. Recently II was advised to continue drinking water but as soon as I drink I urinate and lose it with minutes.
I am trying to drink Smart Water with enhanced electrolytes now but also drink water and a new drink called "Ice." Please continue to research my med issue - things were going well until a doctor diagnosed me with cellulitis and prescribed the powerful amoxicillin etc. The infection still lingers despite my meds. I had my left upper and lower teeth evaluated and repaired. My allergist also claims my left nostril is not infected but it still aches. I'm seeing my G.P. tomorrow morning and will share your advice with him.
