Posted on Mon, 4 May 2015
Question: What do you think would go wrong if a 15 year old took Garcinia Camogia? I know a few people who're 15 aswell and take it, and nothing wrong happened to them. But I still want to get a doctors opinion.

Brief Answer:
No specifics given by FDA

Detailed Answer:
Hello

My name is Dr Muhammad Ali Rauf & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way. Its rind contains a compound called hydroxycitric acid (HCA), which proponents claim decreases appetite and prevents your body from storing food as fat. However, since garcinia cambogia extract diet pills are supplements, not drugs, the Food and Drug Administration doesn't regulate their use or review their effectiveness or safety. Hence use in different age groups is also not clearly mentioned. Few searches that are going now a days have not shown any specific adverse effect on young children.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
