Is It Safe To Have Motrin Along With Prednisone?
Question: Hi. I was in the hospital for asthma and received prednisone 50mg for a course of 10 days and now I'm on a taper for the next 12 days. I am wondering if it is bad that I just took 600mg of Motrin for a really bad headache

The only fear I have is that these two drugs can be very aggressive to the stomach wall. So, watch out for pain and reports which may warrant a prescription of omeprazole. I would have preferred you went with Tylenol first and only add motrin if we do not get relief. Should you need another dose for relief, use Tylenol.

I forgot to mention that i do have really bad stomach pain. It woke me up 2 hours ago @3am. I have a lot of stomach gurgling as well.

I stopped taking the motrin. Hopefully things heal on their own. The taper of prednisone im going off is -5mg every 4 days. And i have 11 days left. Im honestly an emotional wreck right now. I feel insanely depressed and im so on edge with my emotions. Also. I woke up in a cold sweat. And to be completely honest. I am having extreme suicidal thoughts. Can you give me some advice on how to deal with this.
