Question: I just statred cymbalta sunday morning and I don't remember is I took it this am should I wait til tomorrow I take 30 mg

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You are 78 years old and are on ativan and duloxetine (cymbalta) 30 mg per day. You don't remember that whether you have taken medicine or not.

Duloxetine is a SNRI drug and in elderly unto 60 mg per day can be used as per guidelines. It is a safe drug. If you have forgotten whether you took medicines or not, I would advise you to wait till tomorrow and take 30 mg dose, because though safe still overdose can make you dizzy and can precipitate side effects. As you have just started taking it so better to wait till tomorrow. Consult your psychiatrist for any significant problem.

I would advise you to mark the drug box daily to maintain proper schedule of drugs. It is common in us to forgot the drug doses and keeping a mark on drug box will prevent this.
