Brief Answer:
Yes you can go with IPL
Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
I don't think there is any harm in getting laser hair removal while on mercaptopurine sisnce it is a llocal process which leads to permanenet damage to pigment melanin and hair follicle. However I will still advise you to consult your treating doctor.
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.

Thanks. As mercaptopurrine makes me more sensitive to melanoma / skin cancer I thought IPL could be dangerous to the skin. Is this incorrect?
Brief Answer:
IPL is safe
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for query. IPL is very superficial and localised process. It's safe. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
