Detailed Answer:
Hello

I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that weaning off anti-epileptic medications is usually successful in about 70% of the cases and should be done gradually over a couple of weeks.

However it’s high advisable to take the help and guidance of a neurologist in doing so.

Generally approach is to wean off from 1000mg to 750 for a week then to 500 for next and finally to 250 for last week.

Thanks
