Is It Safe To Stop Taking Losartan Due To Low BP?
It is safe
Detailed Answer:
Greetings, Mrs. XXXX! Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern.
It is a good thing that you take Losartan divided in half, rather than a full dosage, once a day, because it provides a better effect span throughout a day, and also sometimes, like in your case, appears this kind of problem. If you are diagnosed with high blood pressure, then I would recommend that you remove the nighttime dosage only and continue taking the other half in the morning. My opinion is that these episodes will subside, but I also suggest that you measure your blood pressure during daytime, also.
I hope I was helpful with my answer. Should you have follow-up questions regarding this concern, I would be happy to help.
Wish you a good health,
Dr. Meriton

You are welcome; no interaction known.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again, Mrs. XXXX! Thank you for your follow-up question.
No interaction is known between angiotensin receptor blockers and lichen planus, prvoided by evidence and by my own experience. I think that 25 mg a day, taken in the morning, will suffice. It is also a safe and effective class of blood pressure-lowering drugs.
