Brief Answer:
yes, it is safe

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

Amitripylene , a tricyclic antidepressant dose-PO 75 to 150 mg/day given in evening or at bedtime because of sedative effects.
Venlafaxine , an antidepressant of the serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor
PO 75 mg/day administered in single dose either in morning or evening at approximately same time each day.
Since your prescribing doctor has recommended these doses and they are well within dose limits, there is no reason why it won't be safe.

My primary concern was my body producing too much serotonin by taking both these medications together from my understanding there is a negative interaction between these medications that 'could' lead to serotonin syndrome ?

Is there a specific period of time or maximum daily mg intake I should be aware
of?
Thank You

Brief Answer:
Serotinin syndrome

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

A “serotinin syndrome,” can occur when venlafaxine (serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor) is combined with drugs like Sibutramine, Sumatriptan, Trazodone.

Venlafaxine has no drug interaction with tricyclic antidepressant like Amitriptyline. .
Amitriptyline may cause hyperpyretic crises with MAOIs.

The maximum dosage of individual drugs are as I have mentioned in my earlier reply. Also, your Psychiatrist would be aware of this. Even then both the drugs are well within their prescribed dose limits. Hence, it is not a cause of concern for you.
