Is It Safe To Take Nebicard In The Morning And Ecosprin At Night?
Brief Answer:
It's safe, but only nebicard is for hypertension
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The combination is safe, but out of the two, nebicard is for high blood pressure and ecosprin is a blood thinner. So having both of these is usually safe.
Ecosprin is given on the suspicion of blockages or for prevention of heart attack. It's in a low dose and usually safe, but discuss with your primary doctor whether this is needed or not. Usually we don't give it in patients with age less than 45 years with just high bp and no other risk factors like diabetes, family history or lipids problem.
So overall, you may the prescribed combination.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

Brief Answer:
Mildly elevated
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
We are more concerned about triglycerides and LDL cholesterol which are mildly elevated.
Here, you should have healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity at least 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. This alone will not make need for ecosprin absolute.
Also, it's better to change nebicard to other antihypertensive like telmisartan or amlodipine. As it can also lead to increase in cholesterol and triglycerides and may worsen, and now a days it's not the first choice of medicine for bp. So discuss with local doctor regarding this.
So should repeat lipids profile after 8 weeks of lifestyle modifications and if still elevated then it's better to have medicines like Rosuvastatin.

But you suggest to change nebicard, previously doctor was giving me silicar10 & Seloken xl 100 mg. Then I showed another doctor & he stoppped that and started nebicard ...... so as of now should I be very worried or lifestyle changes will help and I plan to continue exercise ... morning walk ..... please help
Brief Answer:
Seloken and nebicard belongs to same class
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, I think it's better to change from nebicard to other antihypertensive. Seloken and nebicard belongs to same class (beta blockers) and have similar effect on lipid profile. Cilacar 10 mg is fine and if needed you should be on telmisartan, chlorthalidone, which are usually the first choice.
So changing is better, but continuing healthy lifestyle without changing is also an option. Even continuing on nebicard will not cause a drastic difference, but it's a better option. So in case your doctor decides to change it then request to start amongst CCB/ARB/THIAZIDE class of drugs (Cilacar, telmisartan, chlorthalidone etc).
So nothing to worry even if you continue, but healthy lifestyle is must and should keep watch over lipid profile.
