Is It Safe To Take Phentermine With Baclofen And Zonisamide?
Phentermine is safe with baclofen or zonisamide
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.
I have read through your query in detail.
Please find my observations below.
1. I have reviewed latest medical database and confirm that phentermine does not interact with baclofen or zonisamide. However, please note the following related precautions when considering these medicines.
2. Alcohol intake should be avoided when having phentermine as it might cause increased heart rate, dizziness, drowsiness and decrease your alertness.
3. Baclofen or zonisamide should not be taken together, please use any one medication. Taking both baclofen and zonisamide might cause drowsiness.
Hope this answers your question. Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.
Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

I do not take baclofen on a regular basis. However, it was prescribed for me 3 years ago for severe flare-ups due to a pudendial nerve injury. The dosage is moderate. (30 mg per day)
The tiredness is minimal when I add baclofen. It has been important to use this medication for flare-ups. Otherwise, the spasms are out of control and I can not do my daily mile walk. ( which would be both bad for me and for my dog)
Given that the fatigue from adding baclofen when using Zonisamide, is manageable, would there be any other concerns from continuing to use Zonisamide and baclofen together?
( I never use alcohol or illegal drugs)
Thank you you for your response from yesterday and today.
XXXX
You can continue Zonisamide and baclofen if tiredness is minimal
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing back with an update.
1. If your doctors have told you to take Zonisamide regularly and baclofen when required then you can continue taking both the above medicines.
2. The precaution alert in my earlier reply was for the reason that taking Zonisamide and baclofen together might cause tiredness, drowsiness and decreased alertness. This is important for those who are engaged in doing activities which require a high degree of alertness like cooking, driving, operating heavy machinery and swimming.
3. I confirm that there is no serious concern from using Zonisamide and baclofen. Since you are able to manage the tiredness and fatigue, therefore you might continue taking both medicines when required to help you with the symptoms.
Hope your query is answered.
