Is It Safe To Take Predizone Along With Clonidine?

Question: I had two shots of Predizone today , one in hip and one in shoulder. I take Clonodine for blood pressure and wear o.3 mg and I had to take two extra clonidine pills tonight and still 180/90/ I am asking if it is ok to
take XXXXXXX

Start over, just want to know if Clonodine for high blood pressure and I took 2 large shots of
Predizone for shoulder and hip Should it make my Blood pressure go to 225'113 tonight or it is
something else making the blood pressure go so high/

I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

After going through your query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Shots specific to shoulder and hip should not increase blood pressure.

2. If it were to affect blood pressure, it would not be so sooner. It would take longer time. This is not due to prednisone shots. Prednisone increases blood pressure by retaining body fluids and it will take longer time. If it is due to prednisone, diuretics like frusemide is treatment of choice.

3. Take rest, relax. I am not sure about XXXXXXX if it is getting to less than 160/90, its good. If it goes above 180/100, meet your doctor at the earliest.

4. Something is affecting the blood pressure other than prednisone. Take medications to reduce blood pressure and meet your doctor if necessary.
