Is It Safe To Take Vitamin B12 Supplements For Acne?
Question: Hi
I am taking dr. Perricone md skin clear supplements and they have a b-complex in it. They use vitamin b12 as cyanobalamin (please excuse my spelling). They have it as 100mcg 1,667%. However, my doctor wants me to take a vitamin b12 supplement involving the one that starts with the letter ''m" that is good for nerves. I am sorry I forgot the name.
My question is that is it safe to take both versions on vitamin b12? The skin clear supplements seem to help with my acne but the other version of b12 will help my nerves.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
The vitamin b12 tablet which you have been asked to take is most probably Meganeuron.
You can continue to take both the supplements. Hypervitaminosis ( too much vitmains in the body) cannot happen with Vit B12 as it is water soluble. Excess of it will be excreted out in the urine. Continue to take both the supplements as instructed by your doctor
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
