Is It Safe To Use Hydrogen Peroxide Douche While Having Copper IUD?
Question: I have a copper IUD and i think i have bacterial vaginosis or vaginitis. I have an appointment tomorrow to see my OBGYN but i read that i could use a hudrogen peroxide douche in the mean time to help alleiviate symptoms. My main symptoms is heavy eggwhite consistancy/color discharge for 10 days.
I used an H202 douche mixed with water 50:50 and now I have moderate cramping. Could i have gotten h202 up past my cervix into my uterus? Like, could there be air bubbles up there now? Also, is the hydrogen peroxide bad with my copper IUD?

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Please do not use any douche yourself especially as you have copper T inside.
It is a source of infection many a times and will cause the infection to spread inside due to IUD.
Bubbles will not reach uterus but contamination by bacteria is a potential risk.
Rather just clean the area with a vaginal wash twice a day and wear cotton based underwear.
Also for the discomfort take alkalizer syrup like renalka or citralka 4 teaspoons in a glass of water thrice a day till you meet your gynecologist and get investigated and examined.
