Is It Serious When Bilateral Perihilar Bronchovascular Markings Are Noted In My Chest X-ray And Low Vitamin D Levels Are Found?
Major Findings:
1. High Fasting Glucose 107 mg/dl (Pre-diabetic?)
2. Low Vitamin D (10.0 ng/mL)
3. Prominence of bilateral perihilar bronchovascular markings are noted in chest Xray
4. Mild cardiomegali is noted
General physician who saw the report was not much worried of the above findings and suggested only D-Rise cap once a week for 6 months.
Kindly provide your inputs especially on the X-Ray findings
Nothing to worry
Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir
After going through the medical details and reports provided by you I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that all of her reports are fine and she need not to be worried.
Her LDL cholesterol is little which may require dietary and lifestyle modification to avoid cardiovascular and stroke disorder , which includes
1. High Fibre Diet
2. No junk Food
3. Avoid added sugars
5. Daily Physical activity for 40 min.
She need to continue with D-rise capsules as her vitamin D is very low.
Prominent bronchovascular markings refers to mild inflammation of small airways. Clinically it may be termed bronchitis. Persistent coughing due to conditions like allergy to dust or environment can be the reason . If you have fever and weight loss then other chronic conditions need to be ruled out.
Mild cardiomegaly again needs further evaluation with an Echocardiography to rule out if it is blood pressure related or other cardiovascular disease.
Hopefully this information will answer your query.
Kind Regards

Her general health checkup package was not having Echo so we didn't do it. Do you suggest us to do it immediately to assess further or can we wait for this some more time? She don't have any symptoms as such and her ECG was normal.
Hello Again
Detailed Answer:
As she doesn't have any symptoms like shortness of breath or chest discomfort so it's not an emergency to get it done right away.
However I would suggest to kindly get it done whenever possible to rule out any cardiac issues.
Hope to have been helpful.
