Brief Answer:

No, it does not happen

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Regarding your question I can explain that the type of latex found in the paints is different from the latex that triggers latex allergies.

The latex in paints is synthetic and diluted in water meanwhile the latex used in other products is usually natural.

So you should not be concerned to use latex paint because it does not cause an allergic reaction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

As you explain the history the hives after touching latex might be an allergy but to be sure you should do the Prick test (dermatic allergic tests) and after having the results you should consult an allergy specialist.

Hope I have answered your query.

Take care
