Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns.
Herpes is a common infection in adult population.About 15% of adult population suffer from this infection. If you herpes it is important that you consult your doctor and get tested to make sure that you do not have other sexually transmitted disease.
Did you take a full course of Acyclovir ? IgM takes time to become negative. Please note that once acquired herpes cannot be cured but you can definitely prevent or shorten the outbreaks with treatment
You can definitely get married and have normal family life. you can have sex with your wife. Even if you don't have active lesions you are bound to transmit the disease to your wife. She may or may not show active lesions.
Your wife can definitely get pregnant. If herpes lesions occur while she is pregnant she should receive Acyclovir. At the time of delivery if she has herpes lesions she needs to undergo cesarean section for delivery to prevent transmission to your baby.
I hope this helps.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

With precautions risk of infection to baby is very minimal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back. Extremely sorry for the delay in replying. Was busy with on call.
Firstly you can reduce the chance of your wife being infected by using antivaral suppressive treatment. When not planning for pregnancy, use condom regularly. With these measures you can reduce the risk of transmission of infection to your wife by 90%.
Secondly make yearly blood tests for your wife to find out if she has contracted the disease ( infection can be asymptomatic. Hence the blood test).
Once your wife conceives, make sure that you always use condom during sex along with antiviral suppressive treatment mentioned above to reduce the chances of infection to her. If she develops infection during pregnancy make sure you consult doctor for thorough treatment.
If your wife is not infected avoid sex during the third trimester of pregnancy. If she is already infected, she needs to take suppressive treatment in third trimester.
If she develops infection near term she should have cesarean delivery.
NOT ALL babies of infected mothers suffer infection. Don't worry.
After delivery baby needs to be examined by Neonatologist to make sure he/she is fine. herpes can affect baby's skin, eye and brain.
I hope this helps. If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.

There are no medicines as of now to get rid of herpes.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Once you have herpes, it cannot be cured. There are no medicines available as of now to cure it . However You can definitely suppress its activity ( recurrences) by taking suppressive antiviral treatment.
You can transmit the herpes infection to your wife even if you have no active lesions. But the risk of transmission is higher if you have sex in the presence of active lesions.
I have already mentioned above how you can reduce the risk of transmission to your wife.
Itching that you are having may be due to herpes. But it can also be due to other viral or fungal infections. So do get examined by Dermatologist.
I hope I have answered all your concerns.
If you have further concerns, I will be happy to answer.
With best wishes,
Dr Rama
