Is My Mean Platelet Volume Level Serious?
Question: HEllo my MPV is 6.08 is that serious ?
Hi
Thanks for posting your query
The Mean platelet volume ranges from 7.5-11.5 fL [Femtoliter]
6.08 is towards lower side and may indicate thrombocytopenia
If you have any symptoms do get back to me with those
Wondering why did you get it done ? Was there any specific indication or was accidently detected on a routine checkup ?
Anyway am available for followup queries
Wishing you a good health

Hi
Thanks for posting your query
Have gone through your reports all except the MPV are normal
Low MPV is an indicator which provides information to the healthcare provider about the reduced production of platelets even before the platelet count starts reducing
I would yet suggest you go for a repeat test and if the same persists you should consult a hematologist before going for any medication
Also do let me know the contents of the medicine you want to take as rocoutane as a brand is not in our database
Hope this helps
Do get back if there is any confusion
Wishing you a speedy recovery
