Brief Answer:
Consider increasing breast milk output

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms,

It is quite early and pre-mature to start introducing semi-solid food to baby. Babies may develop feed intolerance.

If the following factors are fulfilled then its likely that breast milk is adequate

1. Baby is latched properly to breast( majority of areola should be in mouth).
2. Baby sleeps well after feeds
3. Urine output is adequate
4. Weight gain is adequate
5. Baby passes typical milk stools which are yellowish in color and white particulate matter

If the above criteria are not fulfilled then breast milk is inadequate. I would suggest you the following ways to increase milk output , which can be carried out in consultation with your Obstetrician and Pediatrician

1. Capsule Lactare which is available as over the counter medication
2. Domperidone is quite effective in increasing milk output
3. Intake of Dates is helpful in increasing milk output
4. Ensure good intake of water: 2-3 liter a day
5. Vitamin, Iron , Calcium and Vitamin D supplements

If the milk is still inadequate you can consider adding top feeds in consultation with your Pediatrician.

Hi forgot to ask another question... Am giving cow's milk and formmula daily twice a day because of insufficient breast milk.... When I was consulted my doctor he asked me to stop giving buffaloes milk because baby was suffered with cold and flum.. From that day started giving those... Along with breast milk.... Brief Answer:
Avoid cow/Buffalo milk

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

Baby should double its birth weight by 5 months of age. Weight of 6.5 kg is perfectly fine at 3.5 months of age. Ideally the weight gain is 25-30 grammes per day. Majority of Pediatrician would not recommend giving either cow or XXXXXXX milk in first 8-12 months, as the incidence of cow milk allergy is more. Cow milk composition is closest to human milk compared to XXXXXXX milk( XXXXXXX milk is difficult for baby to digest). The weight gain by your baby is impressive and there is no need to worry about it. Weaning should be started at beginning of 6th month, 4th month will be too early for starting Farex or other weaning diet.

You can eat Dates while breastfeeding, it is very beneficial to increase the milk output. If you still find breast milk is low, you can go for formula feeds like Nan 1 Pro or Lactogen .

Wishing you a very happy motherhood.

Take Care
