Is Normal Delivery Possible With A Scar Thickness Of 0.98 Cm?
Question: I am pregnant and will be having my 2nd issue after 5.5 years with no miscourage at any stage. Also I had a c-section for my deleivery due to illness (chickengunia).
I had my USG at 33 weeks, and in that we found that scar thickness is 0.98 cm and one loop of nuchal cord is there in baby's neck.
Please let me know how safe is this scar thickness for normal deleivery or i need to go to a c-section this time too and also the impact of one loop cord.
Waiting for your response.
Thanks XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
Cesarean section is must
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mrs XXXXXXX welcome to Health Care Magic Forum. Thanks for trusting is with your health query. I have gone through your query and understand your concerns completely.
This thickness of scar is very less for normal delivery and presence of Nuchal cord makes it even more indicated to plan for repeat cesarean instead of vaginal delivery.
So in my opinion don't hesitate and directly go for cesarean section.
All the best.
Regards
Dr Manisha

Thank you Dr. XXXXXXX for your valuable response.
Actually after my sonography i researched over google too and i got confused by that for me its written 0.98 cm but on google when i researched it mentioned 3 mm or more is sufficient for a natural delivery. Please help me out to clear this doubt. I am ready to go for c-section but this is creating a confusion in my mind.
Also how soon i must go for it, presently I am running into 34th week i.e my L.M.P was 30th Nov, 2015. So please suggest by when this is required.
One more thing as I am also XXXXXXX and i have a upvas(full day fast) in coming days on 10th August, so please suggest will it be safe for baby to go ahead with the fast or i may drop it.
Waiting for your response and again thank you so much.

Brief Answer:
Can keep fast
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, pleased to know that you are also a xxxx and you can keep the fast but keep taking a lot of water and fruits whole day and in case you feel excess of hunger take pomegranate and grapes
Normal scar thickness is 2-3 mm and at least 2 mm is needed for a trial of normal delivery.
That 0.98 must be in millimetres and not centimetres.
I hope you have a clearity in picture.
Take care

Brief Answer:
Normal growth of baby
Detailed Answer:
Yes dear, yes I was in XXXXXXX XXXXXXX hospital in Mansarovar but now I have shifted to XXXXXXX since last month.
But you can very well visit hospital and give my reference.
I have seen your report and it is good as per fetal growth is concerned but scan thickness is less and Nuchal cord nakes it even more mandatory to opt for cesarean section
All the best dear.
