Brief Answer:
Fungal infection of the nail called onychomycosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.

I saw carefully your photos and understand your concern.

It looks like a fungal infection, but it is mild because looks like hasn't spread to the root of the nail.
The fungal infection of the nail it is the most difficult to treat. It needs at least 3 months oral treatment and the treatment has a lot of side effects. So unless it gives you pain, we don't recommend using it for cosmetic purposes. Since yours it is very mild, you can try the local treatment only, but it may needed to be used longer.

So these are the recommendations:
-- Ciclopirox 8%, It is applied once daily to thr affected nail, covering also 5mm of surrounding skin, and to the nail bed, also undersurface of the nail plate if possible. The nail should be wiped clean with alcohol once weekly, and the unattached infected part of the nail should be removed periodically. Use it for up to 48 weeks.
-- Terbinafine tablets, 250mg once tablet per day for 3 months. Try this if not better with the first one, because as I said it gives a lot of side effects.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if you need more clarifications. Otherwise please kindly close and rate the answer.
