Is Pain All Along The Plantar Fascia Due To Plantar Fasciitis?
Question: XXXXXXX up from my desk and walking down the hall and felt a pop in my right foot. Not experiencing heel pain, but pain all along the plantar fascia when I walk heel/toe. Is this Plantar fasciitis or something else?
Brief Answer:
injury to the plantar fascia
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
it sounds like an injury to the plantar fascia which is very similar to plantar fasciitis. I usually suggest simple measures to patients like you. Ice and elevation may help for the first 48-72 hours. Ice application may last for 15-20 minutes each time at 2 hours intervals. Avoid to apply the ice directly onto the skin (a cotton cloth or towel will help). Using soft pads inside your shoes should help as well.
Kind Regards!
