Is Pain Around The Wrist, Elbow And Up The Arm Indicative Of Tendonitis?
Question: Hi, I am a lacrosse player at my high school. and ever since the first game we had 2 weeks ago ive had occasional pain wrapping around my wrist and occasionally shooting all the way up near my elbow on the inside of my arm. it hurts the most whenever I push on something hard and I was thinking it might be tendonitis but im not entirely sure if these symptoms are tendonitis or just something else. do these symptoms match tendonitis? thanks
Brief Answer:
Diagnosis: Wrist tenosynovitis
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The pain you are experiencing is likely to be Tenosynovitis, which is the inflammation of tendons surrounding wrist.
Take adequate rest. You can also apply ice and take Advil 400 mg thrice daily for pain. Take adequate rest and use. Wrist brace for stabilization.
The pain and inflammation will subside in a few days.
Hope I have answered your query.
Take care
