Is Pain To The Right Side Under The Breast And Around The Back A Serious Concern?

Question: I have had the shingles shot several years ago. In Dec. of 2017 I went to the Dr. thinking I might have shingles, however, I did not have a rash. Dr. said it was Diabetic nerve pain. The pain was on my right side under my breast and around to my back on the right side. A week ago I have the same symptom on my left side with one rash which I thought might be heat rash due to our hot temp. here. I cannot wear my bra as it sits on the one rash that I have. I plan to see my Dr. tomorrow.

Hi,

Your nerve pain is post-herpetic neuralgia on right side.
On left side there is fresh attack of herpes zoster.
You can apply acyclovir ointment locally two times.
Take tab acyclovir 800 mg 5 times a day with meals for 5 days.
Add tab pantoprazole 40 mg two times and tab domperidone 30 mg two times.
For itching tab levocetirizine 10 mg two times.
For right plus left side, you have to take methylcobalamin and pregablin. It will cover herpetic pain.
If herpetic pain is not controlled by above measures, then tab amitriptyline is added.
Avoid hot foods, spicy and salty foods.
