
Is Peeling Off Of Skin From Wound Site Post Surgery A Cause Of Concern?

Question: should the skin Peel off around a wound that had surgery on it previously or should we go into see the doctor that performed the surgery.

I am so sorry to hear about this infected finger. I have looked at the images and the peeling is not of concern to me at this time. What is of concern is the infected tip of the finger. If that is progress judging from the state before the surgery, then routine dressing should be continued. Peeling is all about the chemicals being used that have irritate the skin and is responsible for the peeling. There is no need for further consultation because of this peeling.

on the tip of the finger I the scab from where his finger nail should be. does it really look infected...bady?
