Brief Answer:
This is not gout!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Swollen lower limbs is suggestive of venous insufficiency. This occurs when the veins are unable to propel blood back to the heart resulting in accumulation and swelling of the lower limbs. This is more common in the upright position and in persons who have above recommended weight for their height. This is in no way suggestive of gout and there is no reason to use medications for gout.

I will recommend that you work on eating less salt, reduce weight if it is more than recommended, avoid unnecessary upright positions and consider compressive stocking to help the veins propel blood and fluids from the limbs back to the heart.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

noted thanks. it it common to just start up like just like that as I have not had problems before and my eating habits have not really changed.
could coffee also cause this ( I drink about 3 cups a day).

would a cleanse help get rid of toxins and help with swelling if there is a blockage?

Brief Answer:
Coffee cannot cause this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are really no herbal products for this. The measures i described above are the best to start with and I will encourage you to do so. Keep me posted on the progress of your health condition. Otherwise, let me know if there is something more you would like me to do for you.

I wish you well.
