Is Pre-operative Testing Necessary Prior To Cholecystectomy?
Question: I am having a cholecystectomy in a week. I have noticed that I'm not scheduled for any pre op testing. The surgeon does have a very recent lab panel if CBC cmp ua lipase amylase and the ct scan showing the stones. As this is my first surgery I'm very nervous and wonder if the tests the surgeon has are sufficient for successful outcome without complication. I will get a pre op phone call. Is this standard?
