Brief Answer:
It wont affect pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXX,

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

TSH of 3.29 is absolutely normal. Your wife is not having hypothyroidism (under functioning thyroid). TSH cut off of less than 2.5 is for pregnant women (not planning for pregnancy).

If still in doubt about thyroid function you can do Free T4 and Anti TPO antibody levels in blood which will tell you whether she is at risk of hypothyroidism.

Diet : Diet is not that important in thyroid illness. Iodine is needed for thyroid hormone production. Iodised salt and sea foods are rich in iodine, Cabbage, cauliflower and tapioca decrease iodine in diet.

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be available to help you
