Is Pregnancy Possible After Taking Plan B?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I am having an endometrial ablasion in 1 week and I'm concerned that I may have gotten pregnant in the last 24 hours. I do not want to be pregnant. Should I take Plan B or will the ablasion take care of it?
Brief Answer:
Ablation should take care!
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this ablation. Being just a week old, the lining of the uterus is not good enough to accommodate any pregnancy at this time. Taking plan B might just be for double assurance but am confident that even without any further measures, you will not be pregnant.
To me, no need for plan B at this time. You are safe.
I wish you well and keep me posted on your progress.

Please Re read my question. I have not had the ablasion yet. What if I go in for the procedure and I'm 1 week pregnant? Will the doctor know and not be able to perform the procedure?
Brief Answer:
Am sorry. I thought you had ablation already!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
To be prudent, take plan B. It is effective up to 72hours after potential encounter.
I wish you well!
