Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Being On Birth Control Pills?
Safe sex. No need emergency pill.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
Regular birth control pill takes time (up to 1 month) to get highest protection (more than 99%) against unwanted pregnancy.
You got withdrawal bleeding after taking Next Choice emergency pill. However, you did unprotected sex on the last day of bleeding (Tuesday).
It is SAFE period and you DIDN'T ovulate at that time. Therefore, you have NO chance of pregnancy.
CONCLUSION: You DON'T need to take additional emergency pill (on the basis of last Tuesday sex) and should continue REGULAR birth control pill as before.

YES. You can't be pregnant without ovulation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up query.
Yes, you have to consider withdrawal (induced) bleeding as regular period. Your last period date (for CURRENT cycle) will be D1 of withdrawal bleeding.
Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to next period date and your fertile period will be 11th-19th day (D11-D19) of REGULAR 28-30 days cycle. You CAN'T be pregnant without ovulation or fertile period despite of unprotected sex. After ovulation, ovum can survive 24-36 hrs and after ejaculation, sperm can survive 48 to 72 hrs inside female genital tract.
In general, first 5 days after period and last 7 days before period due date are EXTREMELY SAFE if your period is quite REGULAR (duration 28 -30 days).
Ovulation can be determined by ovulation prediction kit (available in the medical store) in the MIDDLE of cycle. Contraceptive pill inhibits ovulation and you may get NEGATIVE result.

All the best and good luck.
